I hope you like our Pack's Web page and would be pleased to receive your e mails - simply click on Brown Owl or Tawny Owl.

Our Pack meets on Monday nights, between 5.00 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. during the school term and our meeting place is in the new Hall at the Primary School in Portreath, Cornwall, which is on the beautiful and rugged North coast of Cornwall. Our nearest largest city is Truro, which is actually one of the smallest cities in the United Kingdom - and I expect you know why it is called a city rather than a town? (because Truro has a Cathedral).

Brownies have been in Portreath for many years, and although sadly closed for a couple of years, were able to re-open on the 28th of April 2003. 14 Brownies, some girls from other Packs and some girls brand-new to Guiding, were with us on our first night. The new Brownie programme comes out in 2003, so this is an excellent opportunity for us to carry on the tradition of the Brownies having a role in the community and taking part in the exciting brand new programme.

As our Pack grows, we will keep the website up-to-date with what we have been doing, and as well as getting to know eachother better, choosing the sixes and their names (will the Brownies choose Badgers or Imps I wonder … !) holding several Promise Ceremonies, taking badges, taking part in the village Fete to raise more funds to pay for the new Brownie handbooks etc., and preparing for a "danceathon" which is our marathon challenge to help raise funds for children with leukaemia, we have been busy already ! I look forward to hearing from you soon.
